Trina Look Back at Me

“Here We Go” is a hip hop-R&B track written by American songwriters Katarina Taylor, Derrick Baker, Josh Burke, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Theodore Lucas, Teedra Moses, James Scheffer and Steven Scipio for Trina’s third album Glamorest Life (2005). The song featured R&B singer Kelly Rowland, who sung the refrain and the bridge in the song. The tune was released because the album’s first single in North America in September 2005, becoming Trina’s first solo High 20 hit (“One Minute Man” which was a song by Missy Elliot and the place she was a featured artist on the single) with peak place at 17 on the U.S. Billboard Sizzling 100. Elsewhere launched in April 2006, “Here We Go” also noticed success in Europe, reaching number 15 on the UK Singles Chart.

The music makes use of a pattern from “Tender Love”, a 1986 high ten single from R&B outfit Pressure M.D’s. Kelly Rowland has additionally recorded a canopy of the song.

The song was certified gold by the RIAA on 6/14/06.

The demo version of the tune options vocals from Teedra Moses, later replaced by Kelly Rowland.

Trina included a remix version of the track on her mixtape Rockstarr: The Baddest Bitch Reloaded, with a new verse from herself in addition to a verse from Lil Wayne.

The video was directed by Nick Quested. Trina confronts her boyfriend and empties his house. Kelly supports Trina and sings within the performance scenes. Rasual Butler starred in the music video.

The subsequent two years she frolicked with Missy Elliott growing her second album. On August 27, 2002 Trina released her second album Diamond Princess in USA. The album spawned three singles, including “No Panties”,which became Trina’s first release outdoors of the U.S. and the smash hit track, “B R Right” that includes Ludacris. Her third studio album titled Glamorest Life was launched October 4, 2005, it charted at 11 on the Billboard Albums. The album featured her highest charting single thus far, “Right here We Go” featuring Kelly Rowland. It also became her first single to chart outside of America. Glamorest Life offered more than four hundred,000 units within the U.S. in line with Soundscan totals. In 2007, Trina released two mixtapes. Rockstarr Royalty was released in the spring of 2007 and the Baddest Chick 2: Reloaded was launched in the fall.
