Radio Connection Scam
November 5th, 2010
Is there a Radio Connection scam being perpetrated by the proprietors of this alternative school program? It may seem that way at first–after all, the Radio Connection certainly makes a lot of promises to prospective students. The promises do not just include assuring the students to get paired up with their preferred radio personality but it also includes an assurance regarding students being able to put up their own radio show in more or less 6 months. Furthermore, the program also promises to help hone your craft in the radio sector you are interested in and help you find a job once you complete the course. A great deal to guarantee? Absolutely. A gimmick? Far from it. The fact is, Radio Connection is made for real. The promises may sound too much but this alternative program is capable of keeping its words and not only that it doesn’t cost as much too.
Of course, it’s reasonable being suspicious. In the current state of the world economy it’s not astonishing to find a lot of individuals retracing their steps to school in the hopes that a degree or diploma will help them find a more stable job. And industry schools in every business from cooking schools to film schools are all too happy to cash in, tossing together programs that are high on guarantees and low on results. Graduates of these programs frequently find themselves in no better position to get a great job than they were before–and now out thousands of dollars that they spent on a worthless degree. Sadly, a large amount of courses are fakes, and the so-called Radio Connection scam is not one of them because it’s not true.
Luckily, Radio Connection has the status and the student testimonials to verify their claims. Entertainment Connection, the parent company, received numerous positive reviews from magazines like Billboard and Mix. In one of Mix Connection Magazine’s article is was mentioned that “Entertainment Connection utilized an age old teaching method by incorporating around 5,000 aspiring students in the industries like radio, recording, engineering, video, film, and journalism.” This approach made Radio Connection distinct. The strategy lets them put students in the radio business and allows them to hone their skills with the help of well known radio personalities.
The personalized and straight up education is crucial in order to start a career in the radio industry where experience and associates matter. Moreover, the students get assistance from a Student Services Representative who will help them find a job that pays. All of this training, experience, and employment help are provided at a fraction of the cost–and time commitment–of a traditional radio school. With regards to starting a career in broadcasting, there’s no Radio Connection scam–just a wealth of possibilities.
